EU and UN financed Georgian Ministry of Agriculture for 2 million Euro

Georgian Ministry of Agriculture has received the 2-million Euro financial assistance from the European Union and Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in the framework of the new three-year project.

Agricultural Minister Shalva Pipia has declared at his press conference that this new project will enhance the competitiveness of the agricultural sector, Business Georgia informs.

«One of the project’s major ideas will consist in invitation of highly skilled international experts, who will render certain assistance to our Ministry in such issues as popularization of cooperation among local farmers, improvement of the consultancy services to small-size farms, and further development of agricultural statistics», – Mr. Pipia has noted.
