61% of people expect Sargsyan to win Armenian presidential polls

The All-Russian Opinion Research Center (WCIOM) says that 61% of people questioned expect Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan to be re-elected. 57% expect the situation in the country to worsen after his election, two thirds were unhappy with the situation. 56% rated Sargsyan positively.

The people questioned call unemployment the biggest problem.

Raffi Ovannisyan follows Sargsyan with 27% of votes, Paruyr Ayrikyan got 5%.

8 candidates are running for president: President Serzh Sargsyan, former PM and leader of the Freedom Party Grant Bagratyan, former Foreign Minister and leader of the Heritage Party Raffi Ovannisyan, leader of theNational Self-Identification Union Paruyr Ayrikyan, former Foreign Minister of Nagorno-Karabakh Arman Melikyan, a political analyst of Radio Hay Andreas Gukasyan, a researcher of epos VardanSedrakyan and leader of the National Consent Party Aram Arutyunyan.
