MAXI BRAZIL: Ship Type: Bulk carrier. Year Built: 1985. Length x Breadth: 327 m X 54 m. Gross Tonnage: 129325, DeadWeight: 259587 t. Speed recorded (Max / Average): 9.8 / 7.8 knots. Flag: Dominica [DM]. Call Sign: J7CC3. IMO: 8404147, MMSI: 325537000. Draught: 19 m.



Last Position Received: Area: Mediterranean. Latitude / Longitude: 40.9096° / 28.74263°. Info Received: 2012-09-17 18:55:00 (UTC).

Destination: SUEZ. ETA: 2012-09-21 17:00 (UTC). Probably, the same like last time, a giant ship is to pass through the Suez Canal heading China with a cargo of iron-ore concentrate.

As reported earlier by BSNews, 2012-08-14 13:50 (LT) mega-bulk carrier MAXI BRAZIL left the Bosphoros for the Black Sea, heading port of Yuzhny, Ukraine and arrived there at 2012-08-14 20:32 (LT).

As reported before, the results of earlier studies made clear, that in accordance with the data of well-known maritime portal http://www.shipspotting.com bulk carrier MAXI BRAZIL is owned by Ukrainian company Tech Project (Odessa, Ukraine).

At the same time, the data of the port of Tuapse, which was called by the giant ship on April 7-12, 2012, state that owner of the ship is Caravela Shipping LTD.
